We often have Honda K24A replacement engine bare blocks in stock. These can be from engines where there was a damaged big end bearing and the customer replaced the complete engine, they can be from engines where the piston skirt touched the bore causing damage or can even be from complete good engines which we strip for parts from time to time.
We offer blocks with and without the piston oil jet positions.All blocks have the galleries for the oil jets but some were never machined to be available. Here is a little break down to help you decide if you need the oil jet positions or not. Non oil jet blocks can be converted to oil jet blocks by most good machine shops.
1. Engine with cast piston - oil jets required
2. Engine running N/A with forged piston - no oil jets required
3. Engine running boost - oil jets required
In some circumstances engine builders prefer to use a no oil jet block on N/A racing engine builds with forged pistons as it will keep more oil pressure on the main bearing area.
